(3)學會學習。現代社會，原有的知識已遠遠不能滿足需要，需從概念、方法、新的思維方式等方方面面不斷學習，培訓就是給青年灌輸這樣的理念和提供所需要的平台。
(4)促進成長。當代社會，要求青年要有緊迫感；看待事物要有新角度；會容納不同的認識和看法；常思考哲學問題「人為什麼而活?」通過培訓，團員青年可以進一步意識到自己的責任，自己的職業角色、家庭角色、行業責任以及社會責任，以及國家、民族的前途、命運，肩負起自身的光榮使命。
(5)得到獎賞。培訓所獲得的知識，在將來的工作、生活中可以應用；培訓中的經歷可讓青年在其中獲得快樂，如交上知心朋友，展示自己的特長等。
雖然這里歸納了許多培訓的益處，但也不是說每次培訓就會有這些收獲，必須在認識清晰、准備精心、實施完善的情況下，才可能達到。培訓是相當特殊而有價值的事，因為幫助學習是令人興奮的活動，就如一位智者所言，在一切生物中，人類獨特之處是他們基本上有適應能力的專門性，且不取決於某個特定的具體形式、技能或其在一個生態環境中的適合性，而取決於其同適應過程本身的關聯——即取決於學習過程。基於這樣的認識，我們關於培訓的學習就更有意義了。
