統招，成人高等教育（成人高考中的夜大，函授）、高等教育自學考試（自考）、廣播電視大學（電大）和網路教育學院（電大和網路教育皆屬於遠程教育）。
統招一般指全日制普通高校統一招生選拔考試，依照《全國普通高等學校招生計劃》內統一招錄，學習形式為普通全日制，也就是平常所說的正規大學。

電大即中央廣播電視大學以及地方各級廣播電視大學，簡稱「電大」。是以廣播、電視、計算機網路等現代傳媒技術實施高等教育的大學，主要採取與其他重點大學聯合辦學（如南開大學、東北財經大學、中國政法大學等），畢業後由中央廣播電視大學統一頒發畢業證書，通過聯合辦學大學的學位要求，由合作大學頒發學位證書。
網路教育學院（俗稱網上大學）開展的網路教育以從業人員的繼續教育為主，高中起點專科、本科須具備普通高中、職業高中、中等專業學校或職業技術學校畢業證書，專科起點本科須具備國民教育系列的專科或專科以上畢業證書。報讀少部分專升本專業需要專科段相同或相近的專業。
